dabo and pr skills

our university needs to hire a pr firm or someone with exceptional pr skills to come in and teach dabo how to handle interviews and the media in general. when the media is USED properly the results can be very helpful to all concerned. dabo is young and learning and growing his way into the head coaches job. he needs to be refined and polished on media skills, so as not to make mistakes like he did yesterday. he needs to learn to keep his press conferences short and to the point. more is not always best. he actually likes to hear himself talk and this is not good for the program in the long run. this would be money well spent for all concerned in my opinion.

with the media, the fans, the players, the coaches, and the administration. People can twist his words around or criticize his openness all they want, but at the end of the day, I want a coach that will speak his mind and show confidence in himself and the young men that look to him for leadership.

The Man has a good heart which was broken over that loss. He might have done a better job dealing with the emotions but we'll live through it. I'm sure Dabo is aware of how dumb the statement was though I wonder if he wasn't talking more to his boys than his fans.

Dabo needs to learn to "shut up" with sore loser comments about beating FSU half the time! We were outplayed, outcoached and frankly got a "buttkicking" Saturday and now the national media and opponents, especially USC fans, are having a field day with his off the mark comment!
Coach - "Get Real" and move on.
Go Tigers!

Well, not sure about all of that...

First, USC lost to unranked Tennessee, so anything they say about it is laughable.
Second, the national media must have some respect for us, as they voted us in their top-10 following the loss.
Last, Dabo is real, uncut, passionate, and extremely confident in his young men. I will take that every day of the week that ends in y.

I try not to talk about spurrier or uscu. I am interested in what will help OUR program and not someone elses.

but it helps our program when people who aren't from SC don't think it's full of drunk inbreds like Spurrier. It would be nice to get some of the tidewater VA kids or kids from DC. Hard to get them to even visit if our entire state has a bad rap, unjustifiably so.

Wrong, he did not make a mistake yesterday, he handled it just fine.

I don't represent a university or am the face of a program that makes millions of dollars but I have enough common sense to know better than to make delusional and disrespectful staements.so in your opinion, mr capital letters, you don't think what he said was wrong? is everyone wrong except you and dabo? he got curb stomped in front of all of America and is trying to save face and does not know how and made it worse. you are right, let him keep making statements that make him and the university look stupid. what a joke!!

He just needs to keep his mouth shut like Saban. Like before the Orange bowl "Hopefully when this game's over people are going to be talking about the Clemson defense"...yeah, they were talking alright.

I could not possible disagrees with you more. Dabo is a breath of fresh air in front of a microphone, and far superior to those dry, boring coaches that do nothing but spout cliches.
