his trial is after the Auburn game then we could suspend him for 2 games. That makes eveyone happy or at least most.

Don't want it to be a selective punishment. That sends the wrong message. Suspending him for the first game, which is a big one, seems just.

handle it. I think weed should be legal. But, right now, it's not, and he broke the law and team rules. Sammy will be just fine and so will the team.
Come the second or third game of the season, this will be an afterthought.

My friend was caught with the same thing except his were pain pills got a fine and pti. Imo sus 1 game.

he can suspend any player at anytime for any reason he feels is in the best interest of the team, the university, or for teaching/punishing an individual player. The judge will determine what laws may or may not have been violated and what punishments are warranted under the law.

for whatever he wants. I think it's pretty obvious what happened. It appears Sammy was cooperative, straight forward, and owned up to the whole thing. I fully expect a 2-game suspension and one of those WILL be Auburn. AND, I'm not worried about the game. I just hope Sammy learns a lesson from this.
There is no next time. If this happens again he's gone. Finished. I think that should be the punishment.

Doubt there will be a trial...There is no dispute by anyone as to what happened . Hopefully Dabo will act quickly so that Sammy can serve his punishment and Sammy and the team can move on. Unfortunately the espn guys will bring it up all season. H#ll, they even kept bringing up Garcia's problems every game AFTER he left the team.
