You have to give Dabo and Sabin credit for having a legendary success at Clemson and Alabama, and really not ending up in the wrong side of the newspaper
Clemson had a legendary six year run of six straight college football playoff appearances. Two national championships. In the aftermath, people complain that Dabo doesn't use the portal properly. Dabo gives away scholarships to high character guys who aren't good enough to contribute to the 2-deep, etc. We inexplicably had a terrible 2019 recruiting class and we missed on our quarterback and wide receiver recruits in 2020 even though we got who we wanted. We made the news because two players tested positive for Osterine.
After two national titles, Georgia on the other hand is going to find itself in a deep ugly mess by the time all of these drinking / Kirby Smart's house parties / strip clubs practices come out. UGA culture is going to turn out to be at least a little bit worse than everyone else in the dirty business of recruiting.
FSU manages to run through an unbeaten season only to get slapped with NCAA violations yesterday. And this is in a period of time when nobody is getting NCAA violations. Of course, it did not help that FSU embarrassed themselves at college football with their lawsuit, and with their bowl opt outs and performance

You should probably start preparing yourself now for two disappointments. First, nothing is going to come from this lawsuit. It's a money grab and UGA will settle to make it go away. Second, there is a better than average chance that Kirby is going to make a statement against Clemson Game 1. Here's a third "dissappoinment" I'll toss in for free: You're not going to like Kirby's statement.

@AFDAWG I got a statement for you that holds true today and for the remaining history of uga football...trash in = trash out =kirby.
Y'all will never have what we have at Clemson with Dabo and what he's done to promote great people...not just the Football Team, but people all over the World!
So win or lose the game we will always be the winners y'all will never be.

I don't think anyone here is worried about Kirby trying to make a "statement". He didn't make a statement in 2021 with a much better team. Curious to see what that offense looks like without Bowers as the safety valve. Should be a good game.

Not sure I believe that the lawsuit by the young lady is a "money grab" but I do agree that it will be settled else more tawdry details will emerge. Kirby Smart will never be confused with integrity, that's for sure.
My question is why has it come this far? She's only asking for 200K? The dead player's parents are asking for much much more and that's understood. Why wouldn't UGA have done right by this girl before now? Again, we are talking Kirby Smart so I guess that's the answer.

Everything that needs to come out of the lawsuit has already come out. UGA did not pay off the staff or enough and now lawyers get to drag them through the mud. Text messages. Drinking. Racing. Exposure. It’s one thing to know what happens. It’s another thing to have all of the text messages between social hostess staffers made public. There’s plenty of money in the state of Georgia to keep anyone important from getting fired or going to jail. But obviously there wasn’t enough money to keep the one surviving staffer from suing.
I will not be disappointed if Clemson loses to Georgia in the first game as long as Clemson plays as well as it can. Georgia has an excellent football team, unlike the Ray Goff years or the majority of Mark Richt years. If we lose because Cade does not play well, so be it. He was the quarterback we wanted, offered, and signed.

Miami Beach tiger and AFdawg are probably both correct. You are both talking about two very different things.
Regarding Alabama, I might be naïve, but it’s possible that Dabo feels Alabama would not let him build the type of program he wants to build. Bama might not be a good fit for Dabo.

Yeah, when I talk to Georgia fans (I live in Georgia unfortunately) They’re all so distraught about the things you mentioned… It has so over shattered their own historic run and they’re back-to-back national championships 🙄
