lost more football games than it won, like we did less than 15 years ago?
Can’t believe that will ever happen again but odds are that it will..
and if so i’d assume it would mean Dabo isn’t coaching here either.
What say you?

We might be crying in our beers but we'll be right there with our tigers just like Kenny Hatfield and Tommy West years.
Imagine if we are in the SEC when it happens.

early / mid 1970's. The gameday atmosphere was still great, but getting steamrolled by the opposition was no fun at all. How times change, we went just 7-4 in 1974, but didn't lose at home all year. This was so tremendous, Pepsi came out with commemorative "Undefeated Home Season" bottles. My original got melted to glass globs when my childhood home burned down in 1977, but I have since acquired a replacement.
If we go 7-4 now, the wolf howls for Dabo's head would reach the frozen tundra of Alaska.

of the game. I would still cheer for my team. I would still have one overarching expectation- that anyone wearing a Clemson Football jersey would give 100% effort or keep their filthy hands off of Coach Howard's rock.

Been there and don't want it to happen again.
It took 35 years to reach the promised land and Dabo continues to do a great job
GO TIGERS

You will have too live to be 100yrs old and it still will not have happened. I can't even dream of that happening for many, many years unless the refs cheat us. Rest assure Bill, you won't witness such a tragedy.

… really bad my entire time at Ckemson.
But honestly, I still enjoyed attending all the games pulling for the Tigers.
I’m not saying I don’t like things a lot better now than then.
But, I will say that my experience as a student has served to,temper my expectations and given me perspective.
Since I finished school, I’ve seen some great teams in football and basketball, while enduring some very average seasons in both sports.
These are absolutely the “Golden Years” for football, and honestly, hoops is better than the historical average.
At my age, I’m just going to go with the flow and enjoy it. I’ll let you youngsters (and some of you bitter old farts) sweat the current minor ups and downs in what amounts to “first world” problems in the overall scope of college sports.

Do you recall if the stadium was loud back then before the upper deck expansions? Danny introduced me to Tiger football. I miss a lot of the traditions from the 80’s. Wish they’d go back trying the flip cards again. Even the old orange white chant is gone!

… gameca guaranteed sell out.
The stadium held under 50k and many times you’d see only about 35k for a game with Wake or Virginia, etc. or Furman/Citadel.
It was a big deal when Georgia or Auburn or Alabama came to town, but always a loss. Sometimes baba big old number.
We had fun in the student section and we had a couple of really enthusiastic “mic guys” leading cheers, so it could get pretty loud, but nothing like today.
