Crowd

Dec 4, 2022, 9:32 AM

What a great crowd last night. I know they had about 2000 seats tarped off but that stadium was 95% full of all available seats. Also give UNC fans credit, they showed up and were loud in the first half.

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Agree, we had a great experience and MUCH easier getting into the stadium than the last 7 times I have been. Beers were pricey but thats to be expected....

95% sounds right on the money to me.

Great game....

Yes. What was different about entering the stadium?? We have stood in line for 30+ minutes some years and this year we just walked right in, no waiting. If we had known that we could have had another beer at the Graham St pub before heading in.

Moving the perimeter out further and introducing high tech electronic scanning sped things way up. They were supposed to be doing it Death Valley this off-season but I think it got axed when they tweaked the project during COVID

I thought it was a good crowd but not quite as much

orange as we have had in years past - including the previous time we played UNC in the champ game. May have been due to a slight hangover from our USuC loss and that we were out of the CFP chase.

I thought the Clemson fan energy was rather reserved leading up to the game - kind of a pins and needles feel to it. However, there was a discernible uptick in the Clemson fan energy the moment Cade stepped onto the field - it wasn't just the players that felt it.

Credit to UNC fans - they were loud at the beginning of the game and I never saw any ill behavior by their fans.

Traffic in Charlotte wasn't too bad - helped that most of the UNC fans left in the 4th quarter. Don't know about the rest of you but we ran into some really thick fog on the way home - almost had to slow to a crawl on US-74 on our way back to Shelby.
