Crazy idea

The ACC goes to 20 teams and wraps up the east coast with huge tv markets and gets a boat load of money. Becomes #1 in bball and goes to two divisons that are played in football like two different conferences North / South. The two winners play in the orange bowl and the ACC keeps all the money

And am not crazy about Rutgers either, but they are a real school, unlike Louisville.

Better yet.

Why doesn't ALL non-SEC schools unite into a mega conference, and not play any of the sec schools. We would select 4 teams each year to go undefeated, therefore our conference would always be selected to the 4-team playoff. Eventually no recruit would bother to play in the SEC as they could only play with themselves (and they are good at that). After a few years we would allow the SEC schools to join our mega-conference with the understanding that they would NEVER be allowed to play in the NC game. They would also not receive any money from our conference unless they disband their football programs. C'est la vie.
