Not a bad idea. It may work ND has always stuck w/ playing schools they have history with. They ACC has nothing to lose. After losing out on other prime targets.

I have posted this before but scheduling will be what ultimately forces ND to join a conference. As these conferences get larger and play more conference games (maybe as many as 10 or 11 games) it's going to get tougher for ND to find Power 5 opponents to schedule.

The pope's pupils will not join any conference for the following reasons:

1. They don't need the money
2. Their relationship with the ACC was and is solely for their benefit and convivence for their non-revenue sports
3. As a football independent they do not have conference worries and only answer to the NCAA which is a Eunuch
4. With the expanded field they will always make the playoffs
