Corruption , does it happen in

College football where refs are concerned? I know there has to be some bias in games but does down right corruption happen ?
My gut feeling is that it does from time to time but how deep does the hole go? Is it rare?
Just wondering on your thoughts.
I know when I watch the nba it seems like some games are just down right fixed. It seems very obvious.

I imagine it would not be too hard for one of the vegas bookies to send a goon to pay Old Ronny Cherry a visit. It would explain a lot.

I bumped into a guy in Maggie Valley, NC about a year

ago who started talking to me because I had on a Clemson hat.
He said he was an ACC football ref for like 10-15 years and he "hated" Clemson--that was literally how he started the conversation. Said he went to App St but his second favorite team was [drumroll]...the Tarholes. He didn't come right out and say he liked to screw us with calls but I thought it strange that a guy who was supposedly a neutral judge would be so quick to admit to a stranger that he "hated" a school he reffed with. I mean, even if you aren't intentionally making bad calls, subconsciously that has to play into your decision-making.
So to answer your question: yes

have always thought that refs should be from a neutral and therefore unbiased area to prevent what you have just described.personal predjudice and money are just too tempting for some people.have always said that the ncaa itself should be investigated as well.

There's money involved isn't there? I believe so. If i'm not mistaken Vegas had the NCAA to remove a point from the final score of a game bc it screwed up their spread. It didn't change the outcome of the game and it was a missed extra point that was signaled good. Vegas called and NCAA listened. so yeah there's probably corruption at every level.

This was reviewed at Maryland ....AND ruled a catch. So, I

would say yes. No way that could have been ruled a catch by ANY impartial judge. It was the most unbelievable call I had ever seen......until South Carolina's game against Michigan in the bowl game and they measured for a first down. It was CLEARLY an inch or more short and the ref pops up and signals "First Down" for Michigan. Well, the OBS nearly had a heart attack that day. He forced the guy to look at it again, which he did, and promptly signaled,"First Down!!"..again...I swear it was the most incredulous thing I have ever seen....
