…come straight from high school coaching? I think it was Texas though, where the facilities probably exceeded those of Limestone.

To be fair if you read his bio he was a WR coach for the Bears in the NFL for six seasons prior. Looks like our brothers to the east like to go after former NFL coaches for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe he will be good. Who knows?

But if I’m Beamer I tell this guy if this offer becomes public before you accept, the offer is rescinded. How embarrassing it would be to be turned down publicly by the Limestone coach.

Sort of seems like a Tanner search for FB coach where every coach in the country, including RichRod, was able to reject him.

Actually made D2 playoffs this year without winning their conference, which means the South Atlantic Conference was pretty good this year. I think they've been in the D2 playoffs another year recently. One of my good friends has a son on the O-line who is trying out for the NFL (not invited to combine but appearing at a couple of pro days). He's a long shot, but if he can get on a practice squad and he gets a break, who knows?

His resume is fine for a WR coach. He has more experience than some of our assistants. Seems like a decent hire. Probably a nice raise for him.

Bingo. We can laugh all we want at where they came from but they obviously have to have some kind of background to get a position coach offer like that anywhere.

Frankly, coaching a season or two at Cootlumbia wouldn't improve his future chances to make a big jump to D1. He could take the Brian Kelly route if he has sustained success at Limestone...winning there would mean more than losing at USC.
