Clemson is down from the heyday of Trevor & DeShaun. But they still are trucking Tech every year.
That was a butt-kicking yesterday, no excuses. Clemson is just better than we are, and that isn't changing anytime soon.
We're scheduled to play a few times in the next 7 years. Hopefully, we get to do so. If not, it's been fun being your rival over the decades. Take it easy.

All of the North Carolina schools got each other as permanent, as they wished. It is important for Clemson to play Tech for recruiting purposes and alumni in Atlanta. Makes no sense.

There was a time in the 90s when Clemson and Tech was the best rivalry in the ACC. One score shootouts for years.

I think GT has come a long ways with the new coaching staff...

...they just need some reliable receivers and a QB who can get the ball to them consistently.
It's hard to attract those kind of players after years of Paul's triple option.
Venables had the triple option figured out. The DE has to go straight for the QB and forces him make a decision instead of letting the QB string it out.
I would love to see GT pull it off against the Bulldogs, but somehow they have the best players money can buy.

Coach Key has the program moving in the right direction. He needs a little more time. He inherited a mess from Collins, and this is his first full year in charge. Saturday was a step backward, but the season so far has been good, given our expectations.
