Congrats, Jack! Another excellent coaching job in the

post season!

Jack is a good coach, but not a great coach. He can win a lot of games, but is poor at building great teams and a poor coach with championships on the line. He's gone 0-2 in Omaha twice when we only needed 1 win to play for the CWS title!!

He's a terrible coach when a championship is on the line. He has no clue how to motivate players to win championships. We have 1 ACC Championship in the past 18 years, 2006, and that team was 1 win away from playing for the CWS title and Jack totally mismanaged that them. The pressure that ended Khalil's career showed up in that 1st game vs. usc. Pressure unnecessarily created by how Jack handled the team going into those two games.

The next two years will determine whether or not we should keep Jack around, IMHO. With the talent level Lecroy has recruited and with Meadows being added to the fold (assuming that he doesn't go pro), our talent level should be as good as any in the country. If Jack's teams continue to choke in big games and get owned by USuC, then I would think it should be time for a coaching change and fresh blood within the baseball program.

This program has too much pride to continue to settle for mediocrity (2 ACC titles in 21 years is unacceptable) while other programs like UNC and UVA continue to leave us in the dust. I respect Jack and appreciate his efforts for keeping our program respectable, but it is past time for our program to start winning some hardware.

And one of those 2 titles came his 1st year as HC.***

Take it easy - Jack tries too hard - gets tense and players

get too wound up because of that. He needs to get off third base coaching, relax and be laid back coaching from the bench like Tanner!
And I have been saying this for years! However, looking on the Brightside Lecroy is recruiting well and pitching coach seem effective most of time, but who was managing the pitchers during the 9th inning tar hole arising!
And Corbin would be a great pick up, if Jack retires????

What happened in Omaha 2x going 0-2 to USC had nothing

to do with his 3rd base coaching. It's his coaching philosophy and how he manages the team, esp before games.

agree about coaching 3rd, and lecroy. however, i've never

been a fan of pep as our pitching coach. our starters were good (and young), but our bullpen was less than spectacular, esp. the closers spot.
