Comment on Coke cans

Anybody else feel like Coke designed a special can to sell to Alabama fans at the end of the season but had to change the name to Clemson on the bottom of the can after our victory Monday night. I was really wanting a 2016 Coke NC bottle to go beside my 1981 NC Coke bottle, but Coke let me down in a big way. The cans are just plain sorry because the drink will permeate the aluminum and most cans will be empty within about 10-15 years. Glass bottles will last a really really long time.

it is complete laziness on their part. If I put forth such an unoriginal and ugly marketing concept like that I would be laughed at by my employer and probably looking for another job.

Would bet their case packer lines can't even handle glass and if they tried they'd break more than they produced.

Coke can still do bottles

I took a public tour in Atlanta a couple of years ago and they gave me a complimentary Coke bottle at the end.

I said very plants can produce bottles. They have filling plants all over the country and it takes a completely different setup to run bottles.

No, there is no conspiracy at Coca-Cola...good grief. Please take off your tin foil hat. They designed the same cans for Bama last year.
They will also print a bottle, which will also fall short of people's expectations.
The reason for this isn't any silly conspiracy theory, it's because like most companies, Coca-Cola has branding standards that they don't break, and thinks like orange can's are a thing of the past. I'd love for them to prove me wrong, but this is all it's probably going to be.

That was also in 2013. Companies update their branding pretty regularly. That's still nothing more than a logo, and that's all it will be. No schedule, or big paw. I'm sorry, it's just not going to happen.

Yeah, the more colors on the print, the more expensive. Coke's just cheaping out there, no doubt about it. I'm not arguing they suck. I'm just telling you it ain't a consipiracy.

Yep, certainly looks like they changed the branding...in 2015 But not THIS year because it's Clemson and they weren't ready or there's some conspiracy. Our can this year is the same as Bama's last year. NO DIFFERENT.

Notice on the bottle it is Alabama's crimson color, not Coke red. If they produce bottles with Clemson orange, then people will be satisfied. But the can they have out now is not exciting anyone.
