Colorado to Big 12 rumors.

Just thought I'd let y'all know. Operative word is "RUMORS."
Apparently Colorado Board of Trustees is meeting next Monday. So several fumor mill and click bait sites are saying that the purpose of the meeting if for CU to vote to leave the PAC 12 and join the Big 12.
I can find nothing even remotely close to what I would call a reliable source to verify or even report on it. Just posting it FYI.

That would be funny if they went back to the Big 12.***

Makes sense for Colorado to move back to the Big 12. Big 10 is not done taking apart the the PAC 12. They may take Oregon, Washington, Cal, and Stanford before this round is over.
Big 12 could pick up AZ, AZ St.,and Utah before they're done as well.
ACC is getting lower and lower unless big changes are made.

I just dont see the B1G taking Cal and Stanford. They add very little when it comes to football. At least recently. Their valuation is probably in the $20-30 million range. Washington and Oregon are a different matter. I dont think Kev-Dog, aka, Kevin Warren wanted to be responsible for killing the Pac 12. I think the B1G is in a wait and see approach. I know a pac 12 pres or AD said Oregon was the B1Gs first choice over UCLA, but Fox wanted to lock up Los Angeles. I hear Washington and Oregon just dont quite bring the value to make this a slam dunk. However, I cannot see the B1G only taking 2 west coast teams, so I think those 2 get added eventually. Plus, Oregon has been one of the top 5-10 programs the last 15 years so they bring up the level of B1G football.

The Big 12 internet creators are full of hot air. I think they love sewing doubt among the PAC schools because the Big 12 has lost most all their members over the years and all they can get are group of 5 schools as replacements. The really hold a grudge against the ACC and PAC because of all that alliance mess with the B1G and the three conferences leaving them out of it. They want nothing more than the PAC and ACC to implode.

You have to give the Big 12 some credit. They are not going down without a fight.
I don't know if it will work out for them but at least they are trying. Unlike the PAC 12 and ACC who are winding their butts and scratching their watches.
They are actually putting together an interesting conference. It won't rival the B1G or SEC but will have some clout and geographical reach.

I admire that. The ACC is sinking more every day without at least trying to make things better.

What they need to be doing is pursuing every possible avenue that may lead to a way out of it. However, for self-preservation reasons, I don't think the ACC is at all interested in doing that. They know that once the GOR impediment is out of the way, the league is likely to start losing teams to other conferences. This is a HUGE conflict of interest for the ACC (i.e., survival v. doing what is absolutely in the best interest of the member institutions).

We need to send applications to the SEC & the Big 10 in my opinion. We need to win the National Championship this season to put ourselves in the best possible light.
Hope that ESPN goes Belly up so we are released from the contract!
