Concur, but they're already rumbles in Norman. He gets 2 years max. If next year goes like this, I'm not sure he makes a 3rd year. Jmo.

Who gives a #### if Dabo cares? I'm very appreciative to Venables for what he did here. And he deserved a position as a head coach after the time he put in for us (and he was one of the most important people behind our success). But Venables also chose to go to a team a lot of us hate (even if he has connections there), and then also recruit against us.
I'm not gonna root for him to succeed. I want Oklahoma to collapse on itself like a dying star.

The problem is the defense is worse than it’s usual bad but most importantly their offense is bad. Oklahoma want put up with bot being bad long

At a programs with high expectations like OU, I doubt the leash will be long. Especially, if the losses are embarrassing (see Willie Taggart at FSU).

No way they give him 4-5 years. At a program like that, you're supposed to produce immediately. There are already boosters calling for his head, as crazy as that is. And that was before today, which might end up as the worst loss in Oklahoma history, to their most hated rivalry. And to be fair, while Riley poached a ton of talent, not scoring at all, having a complete lack of discipline in your team (these defensive mistakes are really inexcusable (they're missing assignments and tackling fundamentals you should learn in middle school ball). And that's before you get into the fact that this team has quit on Venables.
That said, I think he's safe because of the huge buyout and a recognition by some of the cooler heads how little he has to work with. But I do think if Venables loses recruits (which he might - very few bluechips wants to go to a team with this many questions (it's why Dabo had to build our program on very rare bluechips and then finding diamonds in the rough)) and isn't substantially improved next year, they'll show him the door.
That's the risk at becoming a head coach at a team that expects to win their conference every year and go to the playoffs more years than not.
