When you negotiate a bonus that you know will only be collected every 5 years or so it can be large.
When your school has only made the dance a few times in its history, you incentivize it heavily to change the narrative. This is how the bonus process works.

himself as himself. He goes out of his way to point out that Clemson underfunds our basketball program. Never mind that many smaller schools, with MUCH smaller budgets, have much LARGER success than we do.
CBB should split that bonus up amid all his players. THEY earned it, he was just along for the ride.
Go ahead, tell me Dabo should do the same thing. I will just point you over to the trophy case in the Reaves Football Complex as my reply.

You make it sound like we are a crummy program, and a team the other schools love to face because we are a guaranteed win. That's not even close to being true.
We are a tough out for anyone who plays us, and we've beaten most of the upper echelon teams. We have been an upper echelon ACC team three of the last four years.

A 6th seed in the ACCT is NOT an upper tier team. It is indicative of a middle of the pack team.

You're cherry picking the losses. We beat UNC at their place. That should be another $100k since he's the ONLY coach at Clemson to EVER do that. We swept Pitt and beat the ACC champs at their place. We beat Bama at their place. But I'm sure the wins are all because of the players and the losses are all because of CBB.

I referenced his career ACC record which is two game above .500. The comment on the bad losses this year was to address JK's ongoing contention that this years team is great. They had the potential to be, but they aren't and the 5 losses to the leagues bottom feeders along with going 11-10 over the last 21 games after starting 10-1 more than supports that position.
