I just now saw @DHood’s tweet about FSU. That is fantastic.
But if you’re confused about why Clemson may seem so silent and constrained in the surrounding news world in relevance to moving conferences, your answer is that we are likely letting FSU do the talking for us.
But regardless, if you keep up with social media, it seems like FSU is the only one speaking up. Even thought that is not true of what Clemson is actually getting done behind the scenes, we are just extremely good at shutting down outside communication.
You can be sure that Dabo will not let any outside matters get into the heads of a team that is starting a season in one month. For some reason, FSU is choosing to have a tantrum, out loud.
But thanks for doing the talking for us.

Yeah, this whole “trust the process” and “Clemson knows what they’re doing”, “playing it close to the vest” is a bunch of bull crap. Neff should come out and say something.

I'm of the opinion that the best way to keep your plans out of the ears of others that would like to see you suffer or try and jump ahead you is to don't let your left hand know what your right hand is about to do, and if you do that, usually it will allow you to react first without allowing anyone/anything to jump ahead of you with their reactions....

Why should Neff say anything. He will have relatively little to do with us staying or leaving. Thr President and board will get input from him, but that’s about it.

Not sure how true that is. Clemson has been tied to the ACC for a long time, much longer than FSU. I would not be shocked if Clemson were in wait and see mode and not planning to go anywhere yet.

is sitting and doing nothing, while FSU admin is hell-bent on making it happen. It could be that FSU knows they have a landing spot and we know that we do not, which is worse than the first scenario.

Excellent point, but the realignment is being driven by $, and for the last 8 years Clemson draws more eyeballs. The networks will not allow Clemson to be left behind. When in doubt, ALWAYS Follow the money. It works in most aspects of life.

Where is it said that FSU is talking for them and Clemson, I don't know for a fact but, I believe that Clemson and FSU are individually talking for themselves with the difference being that FSU is pretty vocal about their claims and making it public through whatever media base that will listen while Clemson is keeping whatever plans they have pretty silent as they have in the past with anything of importance....

If you don’t know that Clemson is wanted more than FSU, then leave the thread.
I assure you if a conference is willing to take FSU, they’re willing to take Clemson more.
The real point of this post is to make people realize how weird it is for FSU to be so demanding with their recent years. And that it’s funny that the real puller of success in the ACC is Clemson and they aren’t being as bold.

Reiterate that Clemson must stay competitive and that the ACC needs to do better.
I also hope we’re doing our due diligence and planning our path accordingly. I do prefer to do it mostly in silence but I won’t fault F St for being loud and passionate.
Florida and other schools will PASS them by… and their admin is saying “Heck No!”. How can you fault them for that?

There is nothing to share with the fans at this time so why bring up “what ifs” at this point. We are fixing to be into a football season and I for one would rather we stay low key and drama free. FSU is doing the opposite which I would believe would cause unneeded drama at this point. I don’t believe FSU knows anymore than anyone else.
