Clemson's Elevate initiatives may give a hint of a new conference destination.

1. Deliver the number 1 student experience in the nation.

2. Double research expenditures by 2035 and position for AAU membership.

3. Transform Lives Statewide and Beyond Through Educational, Economic, Agricultural and Health Outreach.

Maybe it's just me, but particularly initiative 2 all seems to align with bringing Clemson into a like academic program with B1G schools.

Number 1 is just Clemson being Clemson. What our university is doing for students now, with my daughter as a junior is night and day from my experience at Clemson. I loved my experience! But every day, I have a new wow moment with the opportunities my daughter has experienced. Just this semester, she traveled with Clemson's Cadency program to Seattle and Portland to tour among others: Starbucks, Nike, and Adidas headquarters. She has a corporate mentor, also through Cadency, who is the head of digital experience and branding for Chic fil a. She was at their headquarters all day on Monday (first day of spring break). She described it as the best day of her life.

Number 3 is in line with Clemson's initial identity as a land grant university.

I started this post talking about conference realignment. But ya'll there is so much good stuff happening at our beloved university to be proud of. I am amazed and proud. Regardless of where we end up athletically, our pride in our university should be growing daily. I know mine is.
