Will begin play @ The Valspar Augusta Invitational being played @ Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, GA on Saturday . . . It is a 3 Day Tournament with as strong a Field as I’ve ever seen . . .

It's a premier event no doubt. Probably a glimpse into the 24 ncaa tournament finals and how we'll compare.
NOTE
They tee off today at 1030 in a mixed-up start shotgun. Who knows how scoring will be... since it's rushed to get it going today. Just a heads up. They're playing until rains or darkness.

Round 2 is underway . . . and we are starting slow once more . . .

Yeah, it could be a magical day. Hopefully Savannah has them pumped up.
My coot friend in cootlumbia told me that it could get wild as far as scoring. Obviously she didn't know the exact conditions in Augusta but said in cootlumbia the ground is just saturated and the winds were gusty and swirling like they sometimes are at The Masters.

I’m assuming they are waiting until tomorrow to finish this thing up . . . 🤞🏻🤞🏻 . . . Hoping we get a chance to finish.
On a side note and a personal opinion, anytime we can stay within three shots/round in Team Competition to the coots, we have played well!!! I don’t think the average fan realizes how talented their squad is, nor how far they hit the ball. If Savy was still with us, we’d be matched a bit closer . . . but they would still have the edge. Like I said, just my personal opinion.

Trust me, I know. My church buds down there let me know all too often. They used to rub it in about softball too... man have I had fun with them since we got a team. Ha!!!!
I keep telling them that tennis is coming too... and that we're fast approaching them in women's golf as well. More insights as to my negative Nancy posts when we don't do as well. But to beat them this tournament would be like a natty...
I asked someone about today. They graciously explained that college golf reg tournaments are restricted to 2 days. So with that rule, they couldn't play today and tomorrow. How nice or hard would it be for our websites to explain that???
So the plan is to try and get the entire tournament in tomorrow. Thank goodness because my coot bud says golf would not be fun today. They were going to play golden hills in Lexington but the course was too wet.

Really two days of very consistent playing from all of the gals. Quite frankly, I certainly hope they win some of these tournaments, but the consistency and one of two players not blowing up is what I am looking for. Keep it up Tigers!

Play has resumed which I'm sure you're aware of. Annabelle, with a double bogey on 18 sort of opened the floodgates for a miserable finish and it isn't over yet. Apparently we ran up on the holes playing the toughest. We were at -6 and closing in on a 3rd place. Now we're at even. Will take our best round of the year to claw our way to a respectful finish in the 3rd round.
I'm sure skeeta56 will start a new thread.
