No it just means we are going to have a hard time moving up from 6th in the polls to 4th unless we get some big help( losses) from any of the teams in the top 5 spot.

Texas A&M and Alabama are in the same division. One will drop out of the top 5.

UGA and Alabama are also likely to meet in the SEC championship game.

All of that considered - Clemson still has top 4 spot.

You are forgetting how we are prone to drop even when we win***

So, reading between the lines ...

PFF College is saying the ACC sucks and we should all bow to the mighty $EC.

ONE game into the season and they know who is going to be great!!!!

Just win baby! Same goes for the other teams in the league.

Will help if Tennessee and Miss State lose this Saturday

Disagree about that Who in the SEC is any good except Alabama Georgia maybe Florida and A&M We are only ACC team that can compare to those but rest of ACC and SEC are about the same Wake either beat or lost a close one from A&M last year ESPN sold out big time to SEC

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

FSU looked good against ND last weekend

Sep 9, 2021, 11:47 AM

and if they can continue to play well, that will help us. Other than them, I have no idea who might step up and have an unexpectedly good year. Having UConn on the schedule definitely doesn't help! Maybe NC State? Who knows, USuC could deliver - even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. That would help us out pretty well if we beat them and they've had a strong season. I still hope they lose every game, but still, it would help!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree - FSU will likely finish much higher than preseason rank if they can sustain

Sep 9, 2021, 5:18 PM

NCSU may as well, but Doeren is still prone to defecate in the bed a time or two per season.

Re: Clemson ranked as easiest schedule left

Sep 9, 2021, 11:50 AM

No kidding. That is why we need to play a game against a Power 5 team every year instead of the SC States and U Conns of the world.

Tell 'em 2-8 u6c coot.

you are just another uconn on our schedule

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

We did kind of break the ACC.

Sep 9, 2021, 12:30 PM

If you’re good, why would you go to some other ACC team where you will have zero chance of even winning the conference?

Just go to Clemson. Or any SEC school where eSECpn will constantly suck your ####.

Only time will tell. We just may have it a little

Sep 9, 2021, 12:31 PM

Tougher than some think after 1 week.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I actually like all of BC, Wake, and NC State

Sep 9, 2021, 12:53 PM

I think at least 2 of those will be ranked in the top-25 by the end of the year. Maybe another team or two will surprise as well.

Then, we're just hoping that one of the Coastal teams finishes in the top-15, and we get to face them in the ACC Championship game.

Usually things work out that there are ACC teams that win enough games they become highly ranked. There aren't always great teams in the ACC, but record-wise, someone has to win the games, and they accumulate the necessary record to become ranked.

It should work itself out. It usually does.

I'm actually more worried about our offense being consistent enough to make us look like a top-4 team the rest of the way. I expected a lot better than what we saw on Saturday night.

With DJ last year, even though he played well, especially for a true FR, we still struggled to beat BC, and we lost to ND. Now we've lost to UGA.

I think we need to prove ourselves again before we just assume we're even good enough to make the playoff. I also worry that, even if we do make it, we (and every other college football team) still seem a long ways off from where Alabama is.

Thanks SC for dragging us down***
