Clemson Football was IRREVALENT

for about 25 years of my life on the national stage. We were mediocre at best with the occasional 8 to 9 win season. Dabo has brought us more success than the program has EVER had and won TWO National Championships!!

It is fine to be frustrated with the occasional play calling or personnel decisions. Also, it is okay to be upset with losing a game. No one likes to lose especially not the players and coaches who have way more investment in the game than us.

I think some of you have forgotten that players come to play for coaches. We may all love Clemson and think the players are here because of their love for the university, but the players are at Clemson because of Dabo. If Dabo left tomorrow, we would lose over half our roster. Look what happened at Oklahoma when Riley left, and he didn’t achieve near what Dabo has in his career.

This is Dabo’s program. I believe he will do everything in his power to keep the program in the top tier of college football, but he is going to do it his way. Some of you may not like that and want him to use the portal and fire coaches. I believe Dabo will make those tough decisions when he needs to on his timeline.

As a proud Clemson fan and graduate, I am grateful for Dabo Swinney.

All truth in what you say. He just needs to get back to that old fiery Dabo who made hard choices to turn the program around. I don't think there is any Clemson fan who would want to lose him.

What turned the program around were players that became All-ACC and All-American guys. We probably had fewer All-ACC guys this year than we have had in maybe a decade. Recruiting is just so much harder than it used to be and will not get any easier with the improvement at FSU, Miami, Tennessee, South Carolina and other schools we compete against.

Let me modify your statement “players come to play for coaches” slightly

CORRECTION: Elite players come to play for coaches who give them the best chance of making it to the NFL

Our defense was stout all those years because of Veneables.

we aren't the Clemson from 25 years ago............and the EXPECTATIONS ARE MUCH GREATER than 25 years ago.

I keep hearing fans say "I believe Dabo will do everything in his power blah, blah, blah"......................BUT HE HASN'T!!!!!.......We're not competing with a full deck of cards like the rest of the country. It CAN'T be done the Dabo way of 2015-2018 it just CAN'T and until Dabo realizes that we're gonna continue to fall further behind the other "ELITES"
