Clemson DT says he's cleared to return to action

Redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Tré Williams said on social media he is cleared to return to action after surgery shut down his 2021 campaign early.

The former 4-star prospect battled through injuries to his foot and both shoulders to play 243 snaps over 11 games (one start) and finish the year credited with 13 tackles (4.0 for loss) and one sack.

I love this kids personality. He reminds me of Wilkins just his outgoing demeanor. What this young man gave the program is unreal. He battled through injuries until his body just couldn't do it no more. The kid was a monster. I would have loved to see him healthy. I know one thing Clemson is in great hands with Groovy and Big Payton Page after Davis and Bresee leave. I hate that Bresee's time is already coming to an end. It seems like we all have been robbed by his injury last year of seeing him be the full time starter for multiple years. Davis reminds me of Grady so much. Comes in and is short compared to other DT's, can't keep them off the field as true freshmen and seem to be undervalued in all scout's eyes. There was a video not long ago where a few guys are dead lifting and he walks up and lifts 605 lbs without a wince. It's like he has been lifting over 600 lbs since he was a toddler.

Great news, happy for him. I was really impressed how he battled through injuries last year.
