We came into the game in first place amongst ACC teams in NET and RPI. UNC was the only team particularly close. We had sizable advantages over Miami in both and that doesn’t factor their missing player. Tonight was a chance to keep control of 1st place in ACC standings and make a statement. Instead we’re in the middle of the pack of a 5 bid league. And if Notre Dame holds on for their 2nd straight ACC upset it’s really going to screw the ACC NET/RPI rankings.

Our acc schedule is fromt loaded playing pitt and miami on the road and then unc at home. UNC is probably the best team in the conference. Im sure you will overreact if we lose on saturday and make no comment if we win. Typical.

What statement did I make that was incorrect Mr Laugh Emoji. I made no doom and gloom forward projection other than we’ve made things harder on ourselves than they need to be. We were in position to assert ourselves as the best team in the league. We failed to do so. Can we play ourselves back into that position? Of course. Are those the same thing? No.

CBB continues to expand his lead in his record-setting number of losses as Clemson head coach.
Now we're 1-1 in ACC play. I remember last year we started 7-0 in ACC play, beat Duke, and STILL didn't make the NCAA tournament. OTOH, just like last year, we still can't beat Miami.

Last year's unbalanced schedule had us playing UNC, Duke, Miami once; we got to 7-0 in conference play then tanked. As I recall we went 1-5 playing the top 4 teams in the ACC. If we can't beat the top 4 teams more consistently, how can we be a top 4 team? Now we're 1-1, already worse than last year at this time in conference play. On the plus side, we didn't lose to any Quad 4 teams in the non-conference part of the schedule, so that's better than last year.

I have no expectation he will be fired. 11-2 is great and we will finish around 20-11 with first round losses in both tournaments. Again. And many will act surprised. I’ve just seen the movie before. Heck we may as well sign him to a lifetime contract.

No, we're 118-118 in ACC play under CBB. Averaging 7th/8th place finish in ACC. One year isn't the issue.

I can appreciate that you mentioned Neff in your critique. Most of the folks who are critical of our basketball situation fail to recognize that our administration has allowed this.
All that being said, one game does not make or ruin a season. Certainly not a Q1 loss on the road, but the ignorant will say otherwise.
