Clemson and the national title

I have read where some of you scoff at the idea of us winning a national title this season as if it's unrealistic. And granted, I agree it would be a tall order and might be a lofty goal looking at our schedule. However, unlike some of you, I see us winning it all as a real possibility. Or at least possible.
Last season several people picked us to win it all and I actually think our chances are better this year. Of course no one can argue that losing Sammy won't sting but I'd also argue that our backs may be better and our d is certainly better. Heck , even though losing tahj hurts too, I'd even make an argument that we might not see as huge a drop off there as some think. Not that you can easily replace a tahj Boyd but I do think the qb's we have are very capable of managing the offense effectively and that if they can just drive the car and not lose the game , our athletes might just be enough. The chad Morris offense sure does seem to be more the system than any one man.
Anyway, I contend that winning it all, with a little luck, just might be possible. I certainly wouldn't say it's unthinkable. Dabo is a winner!

I think there are many more question marks this year

But I agree that, if everything falls into place, we may be watching ourselves win the first NCAA football National Championship tournament!

Just my opinion, but with only 4 teams competeting for the national championship,Clemson's only hope is going undefeated in the regular season-something I might add has not been accompolished in 33 seasons, plus winning the ACC Championship game, then having to win two more amongst the other 3 semifinalist. Clemson is going to be good, maybe great, but they are going to have to be perfect to win the national championship. Even one loss, imo, will keep Clemson out of the final playoff scenario.

Clemson still has a chance, even with one loss!!!

I think Clemson will still have a chance to get into the tournament. If our only loss comes at the hands of FSU, on the road, in an extremely close and hard fought game. And; only if FSU runs the table; We comfortably handle UGA and Scar; and easily win the rest.

You think that after last years drubbing at home by FSU equates to a close loss at FSU at home as well as UGA and USC are realistic? I honestly do not see any of that happening. Would be nice but not happening. FSU are light years ahead of us. USC has owned us. (Make all the excuses you want...but They have beaten us five in a row) Georgia at home is a tough task. Wishful thinking!

Clemson has won ten or more games three years in a row and finished in the top ten the last two years. Id say they are one of the top 10 or 15 program in the country, and therefore have a legitimate shot at a Natty Title. While a natty title seems possible, it takes a consistent effort and winning play throughout the year, as well as staying healthy and getting the right breaks. Basically you shoot for having an excellent year, and if the cards fall your way, perhaps you get the opportunity to play for it all.
Every year is a new beginning, but the Tigers defense looks like it could be solid, and perhaps a serious force. The defense has really shown improvement under the current coaches, and its fun to watch them play again. They are creating more havoc, swarming to the ball, and finishing the plays. They show a true belief in the scheme and each other.
The offense lost their starting QB, starting RB, Top two WR, and top two OL. These were excellent players who helped win alot of games at Clemson. The good news is Clemson has improved their depth over the years, and they have some good-looking and experienced players who now get their own chance to shine. Thats what makes this offense so intriguing...who will step up, and how will guys perform as they have an increased role in the offense? Heres to them destroying defenses^^
The special teams will miss "Catman", who was a fine placekicker, and a big part of the success Clemson has had. Hopefully one of the kickers can step up and do well...The threat of Sammy Watkins returning the ball is gone, and while Humphries is solid, it would be advantageous to find another home-run threat at returner.
So it looks like the defense could be ferocious, but there are some serious questions to be answered on offense and special teams...Overall, with their continuity in coaching and the depth they have created, I must say I like the Tigers' chances against anyone.

I think MacKensie should see some kickoff return duties.

He was an excellent return man in high school. I believe he returning several kickoffs and/or punt returns for TD's.

I'd like to see Kurt Fleming as the return man.. He is a fast moving bowling ball that just flattens folks.

The 2015 recruiting class is off the chain and we are probably looking realistically at 2016 to win the National Championship. The offensive line and QB big question mark? Deshawn needs some experience and stud lineman on way.

Perhaps you should do something with your Saturday night other than hang out with us? How have you realized yet that no one cares what you have to say?
