When are some here gonna learn? Posts like this just set you up for a let down. You had a great win over LSU and you got a commit tonight but just bc you are riding high this week doesn't make you a contender.
Wait until you see if your QB and WR come back, then focus on spring and off season workouts. After that go one week at a time. No flame intended but until you figure out a way to beat SC, you wont win it all.
Every year it us the same thing and every november your upset....just save it
And no real SC fans line myself dont consider ourselves real contenders either. I am not taking anything away from your win over LSU but yall still need help in the secondary and on the lines just as we need help in linebackers and oline. Both great teams but neither Natl Championship worthy.

agree with most of your comments, for it is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of the win over LSU without considering the success of other teams this season. I prefer to remain cautiously optimistic, simply because I've followed collegiate football for nearly 50 years since my days at CU in the 60's, and I know what over-expectations can lead to. A number of fans of other schools got caught up in the same just this past season, and I don't want us to do the same. I will add that I'm surprised a fan of another school would be up and at it bright and early this fine morning on our website...something I've really never felt necessary to do myself. However, never let it be said that I condemn such, for I consider it a compliment to our program that others feel the need to defend their own programs by posting here. Regardless, I extend my compliments to you...and have one small favor to ask: can we "borrow" Clowney a couple of times next season? LOL

Nothing makes one so desperate as those days of youth when we believed each and every year we were going to win them all and get the trophy. Every down played can ruin a season for someone with that expectations. Some of us grew out of that state in life and some seem to never grow up.
I went through that period during the eighties. Many times I felt the season was over after the third or fourth game if they brought Clemson a loss.
I think we should match Dabo's attitude. He wants the boys for fight with all they have to the end. That win most of the games. However the OP has a point. If we retain all our talent, continue to develop those we retain and add a few we should do fine next year.

a naturally optimistic type, I'm looking forward to next season. Yet, as I have done for many years, I will take one game at a time...look for the win, then continue to the next.
