Championships recruits can remember

Dec 26, 2019, 9:59 AM

How old were high school seniors the last time your team won a national championship?
If you're Clemson, they were 17 (last year). Recruits can also remember FSU's title in 2013, and maybe they've heard of Miami's in 2001. Their parents can tell them about 1990 Ga Tech and 1976 Pitt (with an honorable mention to 1999 Va Tech runner-up status!), but the rest of the ACC (that actually have title game experience) are too long ago for even their parents to remember... of course, the same could be said for Michigan (1997), Penn State (1986), and Georgia (1980) - and forget about Texas A&M!

I've compiled a list of all national - and conference - champs in the lifetimes of recruits and their parents here:

BTW, best wishes against Ohio State. The Hokies will try to do their part against Kentucky.
