Challenge to all those attending the VaTech game:

Please start yelling LOUD on 3rd down WHILE VaTech is still in the huddle. I noticed during the GaTech game the that (other than the series with the safety) we generally don't get really loud until the opponent breaks the huddle. That is too late.
I remember a time when opponents said they couldn't even hear each other in the huddle.
Let's bring it back to stay!

I agree! I posted something similar to this in another thread. I for one yell as loud as I can on every down no matter what the score is. I'm one of those people waving my arms trying to get everyone around me to get louder. If my throat isn't sore several days after the game I'm disappointed in myself.

Remember when we used to get flagged for being too loud. Refs finally gave up and told the visiting to just play ball, they weren't going to call a time out.

Glad I am not the only one that thinks this. At the Ga Tech I think I irritated some around me by standing and yelling on most 2nd and 3rd downs.
Those around me are about to get really irritated Saturday if they don't want to do the same!

Couldnt agree more-I am always starting to yell in my section early, and then by the time we are all together, you are right, huddle broken. Great idea. I wish there was a way to get the word out....
Also would we be allowed to do other noisemaker things such as dropping a few coins in an emtpy water bottle and shaking it? It is annoyingly loud.

I had forgotten about that. My daughter played club volleyball in high school and I remember a mom from another team doing that and how irritating it was.
It would be really hard to stop fans from doing that.
What team's fans used to jump on the bleachers to make noise?

2nd Down and yell our Arses off!!!! If you are going to sit the whole time, keep you mouth shut and let others participate in Clemson's victory, then do us all a favor and give your ticket to someone with orange in their veins and stay at home on you couch-potato!
I firmly believe that WE (as fans) helped Clemson get that Safety and that blocked field goal against the GT gnats. Let's help the Tigers take this one against the VT!!
