I read an article this morning from the AFA
The American Family Association is requesting all CFA supporters to boycott companies that offer same sex benefits.
The picture above is a small list of companies. Added recently that is not on the list is Home Depot, Kraft, P&G, JC Pennys, Amazon, Office Depot, Kmart, Target
The American Family Association is also requesting you go to their website and donate atleaast $30.00 so they can continue their mission of spreading christians values.

Got that, but just never heard of them.....

sounds like some stupid group that does/says something stupid and then stupid people hold them up as some example that is indicative of a larger group, when in reality, most in the larger group have never heard of them and don't agree with them.

If we knew exactly what...

Corporations were up to, we'd probably never want to buy anything ever again.
Seriously, what doesn't conflict with someone's values?
Be it the Food Industry, the Oil Industry, Pro Sports, Drug Companies, Wal-Mart, Chick-Fil-A, Target, Google, Apple, IBM, Phizer, Exxon, Disney/ESPN/ABC, etc....The list goes on an on.
Pretty much all of these companies does crap people don't like.
What are we supposed to do? Boycott everything?

I don't know what type of Christianity you practice...

But in my Christianity, we don't encourage our believers to get involved with politics, especially when it involves trying to bully corporations into removing benefits from their employees based on a hateful grudge against a class of people.
I guess you might be what I would call a "heretic."
Funny. Don't you think?

Are you saying you do not support..........

Are you saying you do not support the AFA views? The AFA supports Chick Fil A, they have an article on their website asking for their members to eat at CFA.
Did you go to Chick Fil A on Wednesday to support their stand on christians values?

I don't have a clue who AFA is....

if they call for a boycott of companies that give benefits to gay people, than no, I don't agree with them on that. Why do I care what a private company does with its benefits?
I didn't go to CFA on Wednesday. I was on vacation and it was slammed in North Myrtle Beach. I do go to CFA on occasion, because I like their food and on Tuesdays one of the local stores offers free kids meals and our kids love it. I do agree with Cathy's statement, but it doesn't make me want to go any more or less than otherwise.
I did agree with the sentiment of the deal on Wednesday though. For me (and most I've heard from) I took issue with government officials making statements that a private business wasn't welcome in their city based on the views of the CEO. Also, I despise the rhetoric labeling anyone that doesn't support same-sex marriage as hateful, etc...
