Car insurance Increase

Each of my vehicles car insurance rates increased ~10% versus the prior 6mo bill. Interestingly, my 2016 car increased faster and costs more than my 2022 SUV (though the 2016 is worth significantly less).
2016 sedan 6mo insurance increased from $550 to $615
2022 SUV 6mo insurance increased from $525 to $565
How do your rates compare? Is it time to shop around? I've been with State Farm for 30 years

Mine also went up on all 3 of my vehicles. When I asked, I was told, the State raised the rates, when I questioned further, I was told All-State petitioned the State for an across-the-board increase.

doesn't hurt to shop around. Difference in 2 cars could be drivers or newer vehicles have more safety features so that can help make them less.

Friend of mine has 2 adult drives and 2 teenage drivers.

They all have pretty new cars, and one of the teenage boys has a speeding ticket and wreck.
$5,500 every 6 months.
They have two more 13 year olds that may never be able to drive at that rate...

You need to shop that for sure. I'm at ~$1,400 per year with Progressive - 2017 Sierra and 2021 Tahoel and thats $500k combined single limit coverage. Maybe you have reported accidents or tickets but that seem high.

My State Farm 6-month bill in August went up by 7% to $214. No Collision Coverage and I get a discount from that Drive Safe and Save app.
