Social justice TDSer style: Convicts to go free thnx to Fani Willis exoneration

Most of you are aware that the venue for the State of GA vs Trump ‘election interference’ indictment is Fulton County, GA. The prosecution in this case is led by Ms. Fani Willis - District Attorney for Fulton County and the judge is Scott McAfee.

Ms. Willis, who had been exposed for judicial misconduct with respect to filing false affidavits, threatening prosecution of a defendant who had requested documents from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, witness tampering, and (this is the one that got all of the attention) conflict of interest allegations.

The conflict of interest allegation was focused on the timeline for when Ms. Willis had begun a romantic relationship with a man whom she later hired at a rate of $250 / hour to be the Special Prosecutor in the State of GA vs Trump RICO case. (Side note: The Special Prosecutor for this felony case, Nathan Wade, had never prosecuted a felony case.) During the part of the evidentiary hearing that pertained the conflict of interest allegation, a combination of two witnesses + financial documents + cell phone ‘ping’ records were evaluated.

(!!!). The purpose for this post is to go over the cell phone ‘ping’ tracking (forensic analysis) aspect.

Cell phone ‘ping’ measurements are used to track the time and place movements of a cell phone. (Cellebrite is the name of a commercial mobile phone forensics analysis tool.). Mr.Wade’s cell phone was tracked as having travelled on numerous occasions from his home to a location very near Ms. Willis’ condo for overnight stays at dates which preceded the time frame for when Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade had testified that their relationship had begun.

Ms. Willis’ counsel disputed the veracity of Cellebrite analysis as being sufficiently accurate to definitively place Mr. Wade as being at Ms. Willis’ condo.

(*). This morning, Judge McAfee ruled that there was not adequate evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt (which is the highest standard of proof) to merit Ms. Willis’ dismissal as the lead prosecutor in this case. By doing this, the State of GA established that Cellebrite mobile phome tracking forensics are not adequate to establish that a potential criminal was at a specific time and place of relevance to the alleged crime.

(*). Ms. Willis goes free; she can continue as the lead prosecutor in the State of GA vs Trump case. Lefties everywhere rejoice!

(*). Meanwhile, an avalanche of cases involving previously convicted and incarcerated criminals will be thrown wide open in which the conviction was founded in part in the basis of Cellebrite forensics. Those convictions &/or incarcerations will be re-adjudicated because Cellebrite mobile device forensics has been invalidated … by the very state government that had used Cellebrite as a forensic tool to bring about the conviction in the first place. .

(*). At least in Fulton County, GA, most of the crimes committed by black people had been committed on other black people. This is social justice, TDS’er style.
