update on Leafguard gutter inquiry

Dude came out and walked around house, sat in car for 20 minutes, then came up to door with his suitcase full of sales crap.
Stopped him and told him, Fireball just wants to know what the gutters/downspouts cost installed. Starts going thru all the sales stuff, again, told him all I need to see is a quote.
So I get him to email the quote. I tell him thank you for coming out. No I'm not gonna be a Karen and request my $100 gift card which is a scam by the way.
$15K.
$15K for gutters. F that.
Called lawn guys and Fernando had all of my existing gutters cleaned out in 14.42 minutes. Much cheaper.

I put those in 10 years ago and they are now clogged with grit from roof shingles and I might as well not have gutters
Got a guy coming next week to take down the old ones, put up new wider ones, and put leaf screens on for $2250.00

And if you have that much grit from shingles. you may need new one's.
They had screens on in the past, they were all jacked up after a couple years.

My house is 130 yrs old, ain't had n'ary a gutter on it ever. Got flat rocks beneath the valleys in the splash zones for super heavy rains...which it does here on the gulf coast. Now I put one gutter on the back side of my carriage house to divert water to a tank for gardening purposes. Galdernit, if that thing don't get clogged up AF. Pain in the keester..thinkin about rippin it off instead of cleaning it out next time.

you can think of in place. Starting with the driveway, all the water that flows down the driveway is diverted into a french drain. Across the front of the house, we have french drains. Crawlspace, lined with gravel and french drains. Gutters also connect into these french drains. All drains flow to the creek behind the house.
