Once Tiger players achieve their bachelor's degree, is it time to cut bait

if these players are not starting and contributing on the field? Is contract fulfillment not paid? Where do the legal and ethical obligations end?
I say this as some non-contributing players, without the ability or aspirations to help the team, seem to enjoy hanging around for the free ride, the parties and the girlfriends on half-hearted paths to Masters degrees.

You raise a great point that I haven’t seen discussed in this board very much. I don’t know if this is an issue or not, I’d be curious to hear what others think. But yeah, if a guy has his degree and he’s only third on the depth chart, I say, cut bait and hit the portal and find a higher quality replacement.

Interesting, any idea how many on the team this year for that description? Clemson gave them a scholarship, an opportunity, and a degree. Seems like we held up our end of the deal.

Every player with few reps and a bachelor's degree ... with no Clemson GA coaching aspirations. If they have NFL ability and passion, most are gone (TD13 and Ruke may be interesting exceptions ... we'll see how well they do in the combine & draft and if they make a team or practice squad.)

I am an educator, so I support our athletes getting all of the education that they can.
On average, a person with a Master's Degree will earn approximately one million dollars more than a person with a Bachelor's over the course of their lifetime So again, I support our athletes getting a meaningful Master's Degree.
All that said, I would be interested in seeing how many of our athlete's are getting their Master's - and some sense of how many might just be hanging around the clubhouse for the fun of it.
