Campus Tour

Aug 8, 2023, 6:30 PM

Will be in Clemson this Friday with my son. He's going into his 11th grade year in high school. His interested in anything science related. Any suggestions, on majors that Clemson offers that may suit him?

its not "science" but I have many friends who majored in Packaging Science that started making well into 6 figures a couple years after graduating

I agree. Packaging science offers a lot of opportunities. I was a food science major but spent most of my career working in the food processing and packaging arena. Very interesting stuff.

Both of my kids got Civil Engineering degrees. They went into the construction industry and will have jobs for life. It is amazing how many different disciplines a civil engineering degree can get you into. I worked with an environmental engineer on a huge storm water project in Miami and his degree was actually civil engineering.

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?

Don't forget our new vet school. Can go biological sciences and focus on animal physiology unless Clemson is creating a Pre-Vet program. That was my path as I considered Vet school but ended up taking a minor in environmental science with Bio Science. Ended up at MUSC in an Environmental Health Risk program instead of Vet School.
