I'm probably late to this party, but the guy declared for the draft in a weird 8 second Instagram clip, then just recently committed to Miami. The boosters down there probably freaked out about their lack of a solid quarterback and then threw him a truckload, even more than he would have gotten without falsely declaring for the draft. These kids are playing the game and playing it well.

I'm curious to see if Mario Cristobal can ruin him. The guy has hands of stone when it comes to coaching QBs.

If Ward really believes he has a shot at the NFL and needs one more season to maximize his value, he should have chosen anywhere but Miami. NIL pales in comparison to the guaranteed money of being an early 1st round pick.
