Wow. I didn't realize the stats Cam put up his Heisman year. 2800 pass 30td and 1500 on the ground with another 20td. He seriously carried that team.

Pretty cool that he gave a shout out to DW4, he's pretty popular guy now a days so that's good press for our QB.

Cam IMO was the most deserving Heisman winner in a long time

The guy pretty much willed his team to a win every single game. Johnny manziel had his moments but he was no Cam Newton. I think Deshaun Watson is the closest anyone's been to that level and he's just a sophmore in his first full season as a starter. People let their hate for Newton get in the way of seeing how ridiculous he was at auburn and how good he is now and I will admit it's easy to hate a guy that cocky when he beats your team. I couldn't stand him after he beat us but I got over that in a few weeks and just enjoyed watching the ridiculous things he would do every game.

I wish all fans had your perspective. Cam Newton was amazing to watch and his confidence and leadership elevated his teammates to a new level. Truly deserving Heisman winner and champion. Colt McCoy should have won it in 08 and Spiller in 09 but besides that they have gotten it right in the past few years.

Nothing to take away from Cam's numbers but look at DW4 numbers this year and think about if he would have played more than a half on half of our games. Cam rarely came out of games until late in the game to pad his stats. Dumbo did the same thing with Winston 2 years ago. Dabo isn't going to run up the score just to pad the players resume. Still DW4 has accounted for almost 3200 yards and still has at least 4 games left. His number will be just as impressive when the season is over.

But he seems to have become a leader for the panthers and legitimately having fun playing football.

Seems to be a good guy and becoming an elite NFL QB within his unique skill set.
