OK, this is what happens when you're in the DEAD period of football, not much to argue or talk about.
What the he!! happened to Bruce Jenner? Really?? So now, what is he (other than messed up in the head)?
Lesbian? (still likes women, now that he's a woman)
Bi-sexual? (still likes women, but still has a man's junk even though he says he's a woman)
Transexual?
Transgender?
Intersexual?
Hermaphrodite? (well, maybe he always was one. At least now he can go screw himself)
What caused this? I'm going with being married to a Kardashian!!!That whole family is screwed up!!!

So like many I have my own opinions, and in this case would probably just #### ppl off so I keep them to myself. Its not my place to judge or blast ppl online, I usually just keep to myself but I will say I think it is the saddest situation and it really angers me that he is receiving this award at the ESPYs over people that really deserve it... what he/she/it (whatever it is now) is doing is NOT heroic and courageous, maybe to those people dealing with it but it has nothing to do with sports and def doesn't deserve it over some of the other things that people actually went through.

what does his bid to stay in the public eye and get a reality show have to do with courage? I dont blame him as much as the people who fall for and support this type stuff. Sad is what we've become when this is entertainment

yea I mean I don't blame him for using this as leverage...but to me the sad part is that our society bites and puts it on this pedestal...ok so there are gays, people think they are born in the wrong body (which is ridiculous), etc...I don't have to agree with it but that's your life, do what you want...but so sick of turning on the TV or watching MTV with the lady and all you see is gay commercials and "become educated on transgender"...why do these things have to be pushed so hard? But a 14 year old Christian family gets attacked bc there kid grabbed a couple ##### outside a shirt and the family took care of it...but tabloids and everything want to attack that with everything they have. So many things just do not make sense and honestly makes me scared to have children.

dressing like the opposite sex might offend bigots, but it is nowhere close to the same thing as sexual assault of another human being. I don't know the details of the Christian family that you are talking about, but it is good to hear that they took care of it. It is never easy to put a family member in jail and/or prison, depending on the circumstances, where they belong.

the Duggars and the only taking care of appears to be sweeping it under the rug they can extoll their virtues on tv. I put them there with Jenner. Just nothing I care to see. I dont watch any reality tv because it isnt reality or interesting

yea im DEF not trying to dismiss what happened, it was wrong but he was a kid and the parents did what they had to do to fix it...the girls even admitted they didn't even know it happened they were asleep. I am just saying that this happened like 20 years ago and they found out about it and blowing it up like hes some criminal and it happened before they were even offered the show. But yet these agendas are being pushed on people like crazy like its supposed to be accepted.
This is serious question...why was this not an issue back in say the civil war times or early 1900s?? People didn't do this...I believe its people with mental issues that let it go too far and others making excuses for their decidions

Since deciding to be a woman. He's had to deal with increased notoriety and fame, having to go on the covers of magazines, and having to be paid millions of dollars for his own new TV show. How he's made it through...I don't know.

He is a she. She didn't announce her sexual orientation, at least not that I'm aware of. But does it matter what it is?
The only thing that irks me about this entire situation, other than the ESPY award thing, is that she is considered a role model for anyone who suffers with the same gender identity issues that he/she suffered. The problem I have with this is that most of those suffering will not be able to afford such elaborate changes to alleviate such suffering. And then they won't be paid a ton of money to capitalize on the situation. Find me a role model who can deal with the suffering with a more realistic and affordable approach.
Ok Ok - maybe she is a role model for the rich, famous people who suffer like she did.

I haven't really followed the story, but I think she is "transgender." In this case, Bruce is male, but didn't identify himself as a man. So now she identifies herself as a woman and is obviously in the process of transition via hormones/surgery.
As to your second question---how this happened---I would guess that has been covered in some of the interviews, to some degree. If you're interested, you should watch or read those.
I think that scientifically, there are still many more questions than answers about how this happens in the human population. I would guess that there's no single answer (such as lowered testosterone levels during development), but a multitude of them with genetic links.

It seems like he's being manipulated by television producers and gay activists. What's more, he's undergone a procedure to make him look (more) like a woman that a lot of medical professionals say is harmful to mental health (and is obviously harmful to the functioning of your body). I hope this helps him in some way, but I don't see how giving into delusions can ever really be helpful.
