a packed Death Valley would cost the Athletic Department roughly $160,000.
Not as bad as I thought. I'm really hungry for some reason. Headed out to Little Ceasers for lunch.

It won't cost Clemson a cent. There's NO WAY to get pizza to the Valley on time in game day traffic!

Used to deliver it to the stadium for papa john's on gameday. We were allowed to cut through neighborhoods and then often received a police escort through crowds.

Rev, Maybe papa johns will have a Pizza cooking vehicle like dominos. A fleet of those you will just cook them on site.

somewhat-- I wouldn't be surprised if one of the national brands stepped up and supplied the pizza for the media attention-- that would small $ compared to exposure based on the legs this already has and would have leading up to that day----

This could be a great fund raising campaign

where most if not all pizzas are donated and patrons are asked to give a small cash donation for admission. Maybe have signs saying "Suggested $5 donation (or more if you can afford it)".
Proceeds would go to several charities.

No way it is that much...

Crowd size.. It's not going to be 80,000. For us to have 80,000, fans have to come from all over. I doubt many people will drive 4-5 hours for pizza without a game to watch. Figure about 5,000 maybe 10,000. Dabo didn't say it was all you can eat, so figure one slice per person. That's 10,000 slices. At 8 slices per pizza, that is 1250 pizzas. You can get hot and ready pizzas from Little Ceasars for $5 each, that is $6,250 plus tip. Worse case: 20,000 people and two splices per person is just $25,000.

Dabo said it was going to be a party. I bet its almost full but that is my take on it. I going with $170000 retail but Papa Johns or whoever will give a big time deal or make it free for the advertising.

There's NO way it's anywhere near full for pizza

To get a packed house on Death Valley, people from far away have to arrange hotel rooms, travel plans, and sometimes come hours for the game. I don't see many of those people doing that just or pizza. Hell, we only got about 35,000 for the Spring Game the last couple years and that was a record.

Where are you getting your 80000 people from? Be logical.
It would be half the students + locals. 10K is about right.

Dabo may have to jump in with a "BYOP" - brig your own pizza - to make this economically viable!
