make a partisan statement. More republicans than dems voted in favor of NAFTA. Globalism is/was bipartisan, still is largely.

Something is wrong here. Your link says George H.W. Bush signed Nafta.

Politico says Clinton signed it.

was nothing more than a worthless stack of paper until it was ratified into law. Clinton signed NAFTA into law after ratification. Both Bush Republicans and Clinton Democrats own NAFTA and both share the blame...

Clinton took a lot of credit for supporting NAFTA, but then betrayed the Mexicans by enormously increasing trade with P.R.China.

Mexico didn’t get nearly as much benefit from NAFTA as G.H.W.Bush had intended.

Classic American foreign policy. Screw the countries that we proclaim to be trying to help.
