The measure of success in basketball is ending embarrassingly long losing streaks to opponents? 🤣 2 wins on the road against UNC EVER in the history of the program is considered the benchmark of a team heading towards a championship?
I think not.....and what will happen if we lose our next game? Everyone gushing about this win who usually don't support Brownell will go back to their corner while the Brownell defenders will say something like "no money, winning in the ACC is hard, yada yada yada"

Need to enjoy this one regardless of your feelings for Brownell. Last nights win was huge for Clemson when comparing it to Clemson historically.

NC success? No, no I don’t.
Conference champ and consistent 9 win team with multiple top 25 finishes? Yes, yes I do.
We don’t expect the next coach to take us to a NC. We want a coach who can get us to be a consistent tournament team. Then we pay the man and put money into supporting that coach in any way possible. BB is stale and won’t ever get us to that next level. 14 years is a big enough sample size to see what he’s capable of and the fans/donors aren’t going to be giving more money for the product we have.
I still believe one great hire can change the trajectory of our program.

Spurrier won the ACC at Duke . . . . I think Dabo is better than that dude.

i've watched so many clemson games in the dean dome for 40+ years that yes, this is a big deal. At least to me it is. Growing up in Charlotte I wish we could've done it just once in my adolescent years but it never happened.. getting blown out by 20 was the norm as Clemson was a joke.
So Brad gets a tip of the cap from me regardless of the big picture. Great Win!

Wrong again. People that support our basketball team don't care that Brownell is the coach any more than they would if Coach K was the coach. We support Clemson sports win or lose and that means also supporting our coaches because they coach Clemson teams.
