Now you have guys who really WANT to COMPETE for their TEAM rather than just build their resume? It's been fun seeing the excitement they have when they hoist the trophy for the "Your Name Here" Bowl, even though, to many, it means nothing, but to these guys - most of whom don't have a big NFL future or NIL deals or whatever - it could be their last game ever, and it's definitely the last game of the season, and every competitor wants to end on a high note.

It would be nice to have everyone line up and have the best players take the field, but I don't know - maybe it's more fun to have the players who most want to play take the field. Maybe the desire can be more fun to watch than the "talent"?

You get a better feel for the following year. The games dont matter much usually, but it's good scouting. Next year with the 12 it will be fine again.

Respectfully disagree. They have become a joke in my opinion.

While the bowls are still good for the teams (extra practice, and basically a glorified scrimmage), the results are totally meaningless other than CFP games. I haven’t watched one yet this year, and likely won’t other than Gator and CFP.

I could see tuning in to FSU/UGA if it got interesting, but little chance of that.

The NCAA has served to wreck this entire bowl season with its lack of rule changes!
