So long as it keeps our border open so that anyone in the world that dreams of being an American can just walk in and sign up for their entitlements, it's worth it. Just print more money. Voilà!

It goes way farther along the current political goals than this.

Take Death Valley, rename it Happy Valley. Bulldoze the hill, limit tailgating to one hour before, and after the game. Lets change up the Tiger flag; throw some sparkling uniform tye dye on the flag and have it appear as a rainbow. Heck, throw a pot o' gold under one end. The lucky unicorn gets it!

It's more about re-branding America, to a level unfamiliar to anyone not currently living...

Levis have been over $30 for at least 30 years, looks like they were $25 in 1980, $35 in 1996 and $68 in 2015.

Granted $25 in 1980 is like $97 plus today so due to inflation they have actually went down in price.

I remember buying them in 1985 for &12.99***

Levis cost a premium in the 80's, unless you were getting them from a second-hand shop.

and they both have a bunch of different Levi's men's jeans for less than $30. I paid $20 for a pair just last month on Amazon.

Levi's has pretty good sales on their website sometimes. You can buy multiple sizes and return the ones that don't fit if you're not sure exactly which size you'll need.

Also check out Costco's Kirkland brand jeans. Those go on sale for around $5/pair every now and then.

Kinda sounds like wherever you're shopping is being greedy with their pricing.

If you end up buying directly from Levi's online, you might want to consider picking up a discounted Levi's gift card first to do your shopping with. This site has $150 gift cards on sale right now for less than $110:

Says here that $0.02 in 1972 = $0.15 in 2024:

I do agree that it might be time to retire the penny, though.

Just bought two pairs at Costco (505s, I think} for $29 ($39 - $7 discount). Often the Levi’s at Costco are not the same denim as the original Levi’s. But if you have worn them as long as I have you ought to be able to tell the difference.
