As I'm familiarizing myself with the new baseball roster, transfers, etc., I am reminded about Amick transferring to Tennessee. What was the final verdict on his decision to transfer as I remember it being somewhat controversial at the time. Thanks for learnin' me sumptin.

"I really wanted to play third (base) somewhere," Amick told the Knoxville News Sentinel. "Just be somewhere I was going to be valued the way I wanted to be. Not from a money standpoint, but being somewhere I really want to be and playing third. Being with a coaching staff I knew that I would enjoy and be comfortable around.

This explains it best… especially considering Bakich already told him that this season Wagner was moving and 3rd base was his but daddy was still butt hurt so he transferred to Tenn and took the money he wasn’t about.

Last I saw he was knocking bombs at about the same pace or better than last year. Really wish he’d stuck around but if he’s that kinda me first kid as implied, maybe better he didn’t

Let's quit bringing it up...he's gone & not in a Clemson uniform anymore. He was unhappy camper, he's out of camp now. & if it means all ties between the Amick family and Clemson are officially dead now, so be it.

Let's all collectively move on & let the Amick issue die already
