Best approach to Lot 10

2

Aug 25, 2023, 6:05 PM

I've always approached lot 10 from the Botanical Gardens end of Perimeter Road. Will they let you make a left turn into lot 10 coming from the opposite direction on Perimeter Road? They no longer have a traffic light at Williamson Road. In fact it appears they have rerouted Williamson Road if in fact it still exists. I need a new detailed map of the area. Advice needed.

I’m right there with you

From what little I’ve been able to piece together, what was Williamson RD is now just the entrance to Lot 10 so we should be able to get in the same way (coming from the Botanical Garden side and won’t have to share that turn with the LDRs parking closer to the stadium like we have in the past.

I don’t know why you wouldn’t be able to turn left coming from the other way, again assuming they have someone directing traffic.

These are just assumptions I’m making from looking at the student parking maps posted for the opening of the semester and should be taken with a grade of slaw.

My guess would be, yes. People coming from Seneca would also

need to turn left.

The realigned Williamson Rd intersects Perimeter Rd at Old Stadium Rd., so the red-light is there now.

There is now a “Y” at the end of what used to be

The intersection of Williamson Road and Perimeter and there is no longer a traffic light.
You cannot turn left if you are coming from Seneca side on Perimeter Road unless they are going to allow it at the entrance closer to Lot 6.
What used to be the end of Williamson road is now 2 rows of additional parking spaces.
The “Y” shape only allows right turns into Lot 10 from Botanical Gardens side.

Light is moved from Williamston

Aug 26, 2023, 6:04 PM

It is now at a redone intersection just prior to Williamston. That new road is huge that leads up to cemetary area. That old Williamston road is right turn only coming from Botanical Gardens and upon exit from Williamston is right turn only also. Sirrine Hall and shoebox parking lot is currently fenced off and under a good bit of construction. The new road that connects to perimeter when you are coming from the cemetary area upon exit has like 4 lanes. Two of them turn left, one goes straight across street to that road and one turns right. Williamston road was changed to add like a row of parking that use to be more road/sidewalk. The new road cuts into Williamston right where Centennisl Blvd extension joined Williamston.
