Ben Martin returning to action this week

He's making a rehab start at the Web.Com tournament in Greenville. Also, Byrd and Trahan got into the field at the Canadian Open.

He had surgery last year. He tried to play in one tournament early this year but had to withdraw. Hopefully, he has now recovered

Yes, per his dad, he has had recurring back problems. He tried to play once or twice in the fall, but the back problems flared up again. I do no think that he had surgery, but hopefully through whatever treatment or rest he has undergone, he has gotten the problem under control. He had a good run there for several years.

I think you're right about the surgery. I thought I remembered him having a surgical procedure last year, but I can't find any information on that now. Except for that one attempt to play at the Sony, he's been out since last June.

Really hate to learn he has back issues at such a young age. Considering the amount of practice time and play needed to compete at that level, getting it under control will likely be a tough rode to travel.

Thanks for posting. Saunders in the field too. Do you know if Bryson is in the web.com Greenville tournament? I couldn’t find it but would think he would be.
