Record. What’s the point of playing all the games on your schedule, going undefeated, winning your conference championship and not being able to compete for a national championship?

Why even play if that’s your end goal and some bias ###### decide your fate?

save folks from the flood. Lawrence isn’t ready; he’s good but I haven’t seen evidence he’s great. As a freshman he won’t be able to stand up to the pressure, Kelly Bryant couldn’t, Watson did, but Lawrence won’t. This undefeated Alabama team is the greatest team ever! The game is a run away if Bama just gets up on it toes and leans into it. #1 Alabama!,#2 Alabama!, #3 Alabama!, #4 Alabama!, #5 Alabama!

These are just the talking head “experts” beliefs before the 44-16 result. Then it was “gobsmacked” time!

That’s why you play the game - sometimes the eye test is just plain wrong!

The committee should visit each teams spring game in person, and then compile the rankings. You should always hope to be #1 so you could get your first game jitters out against the #4
