Athlon's Top 20 QBs in college football

Athlon ranked the Top 20 QBs for 2024, in which Clemson did not a rep.
The QBs to make it and line the Tigers' schedule are at No. 1, with Georgia's Carson Beck, and No. 18, with Florida State's DJ Uiagalelei.
On Uiagalelei: "Uiagalelei is back in the ACC after a one-year (and successful) stop at Oregon State. In 12 games with the Beavers, Uiagalelei threw for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for another 219 yards and six scores on the ground. Prior to the '23 season in Corvallis, Uiagalelei threw for 5,681 yards and 36 touchdowns over 35 games at Clemson. With two promising young quarterbacks in Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek, Uiagalelei is the perfect bridge signal-caller for coach Mike Norvell."

CK threw for 2,844yds and 19 tds last year and ran for 182 while being sacked A LOT, sooo not sure why DJ is rated higher, but also don’t care cuz think CK grows and DJ continues middling.

Carson Beck is very good. He is the best non-Clemson QB I've seen since Joe Burrow.

I watched him in a 4-5 games last year and I don’t see him being the best qb since burrow. Not even close.

Tennessee. A cautionary tale, DJ was supposed to be great at Clemson, as well. Sometimes, it doesn't work out.

Well based on that Top 20, plus the follow-up mentions at the bottom, CK isn't even in the Top 36 QBs, haha. Wow. Agree on the disagree with this article for sure, seems more anti-Clemson bias.

He and the Tigers are going to have to prove it on the field before they get respect. The talent is there, just lurking for all the reasons we’ve discussed before.
