Not defending Phillips he’s not done anything to impress me so far. BUT this all still goes back to Swofford. He had the world at is feet and made an ever increasingly horrible string of decisions that sealed the fate of a once great conference; he’s college sport’s answer to the Roman emperor Nero. Phillips has made bad choices, but that’s all he had to choose from.

No one forced us and all the teams to agree with Swafford. Everyone in the conference wanted a TV deal and all agreed to it then signed that document that has us in the situation we find ourselves in today. Swafford could have offered up these ideas and the teams could have said hell no and shot it down but we thought we wanted long term security and did a poor job of seeing what was coming in the SEC and B1G. Granted I don’t think anyone could have predicted all this 10 years ago.

You realize this was pushed by teams in our conference. If the majority didn’t want them then it would be a non issue. Can’t blame the guy who’s essentially just the moderator.

It was Clemson's decision to sign the GOR contract. We need to look in the mirror. Why the heck did Clemson sign that? Swofford was a self-serving fool that set the ACC up for failure. But I've seen his house and he's a rich fool. Phillips is nothing great and could have been more proactive but he's trying to make chicken salad out of Chicken sh$t....
