As I entered Clemson in 1970, I purchased Santana's Abraxas

Just like everybody else, I had already heard "Black Magic Woman" and "Oye Como Va". And was convinced that "Oye Como Va" was the greatest rock song ever. But that's when I did something important. Possibly the most important thing I ever discovered while studying for a Clemson class. I flipped the album over to side two. That's when I found "Samba pa Ti" and found the most soothing music I had ever heard. I realized that life was not going to always be comprised of moments worthy of "Oye Como Va". But that sometimes one will need some "Samba pa Ti". Today is a "Samba pa Ti" sort of day.

After playing your video, I stumbled across The Four Tops

singing "I Can't Help Myself" which I often listened to at Clemson. My wife heard the music playing and said she saw them live in El Paso while growing up in Juarez, Mexico. Now she is dancing and sharing fun times of her youth with me. The evening just improved dramatically. Thanks.

I had forgotten about that Santana tune, thanks.

We actually used "Can't Help Myself" at our church in a Stewardship campaign this year, which was way different for us. Catchy tune, heard it a lot in a cheesy dance class my parents had me take in junior hign.

Oh, and hope you get lucky due to playing that one. Just keep loading up those old Motown tunes, no telling what might happen.

is probably where I am after that fiasco last night.

although

"Careful with that axe, Eugene"

has some appropriateness, also.
