have been charged and they all refuse to talk to the police.....right up and until one of them cuts a deal........What if the SEC says,"Clemson, FSU, we want you.....but, we also offered North Carolina and Virginia.....so, whoever talks first gets immunity, I mean ,membership....."..."And, we also made an offer to Ohio State and Michigan, soooooo, take your time...."....

Your too far off base. UNC won't go to the SEC without Duke ,and the SEC ain't offering Duke. Same with Virginia, and VA. Tech ,or WVU. And I certainly don't think they offer FSU an invitation with the sorry state that program is in. As to OSU, and Michigan they ain't leaving the BIG 10. And who you calling a criminal?

I thought our deal with espn keels that from happening until 2036.
It would be hard for any team/school to turn down. They want a big name team they can all beat especially Alabama.
Imagine if we went & won the 1st five SEC championships & 2-3 National Championships.
They would all hate us even worse...lol

It's more about 41 to 16-ESPN-NCAA SEC are the ones pushing for a 12 team playoff

SEC and ACC have ESPN deals
Aug 25, 2021, 7:41 AM

If SEC convinces Clemson and FSU to move, it will effectively kill the ACC, just like Texas and OK leaving have killed the big 12. The “grant of rights” issue becomes a moot point. If it gets too contentious, ESPN just shows meaningless ACC games that no one watches. The revenues tank. The ACC will fold.
Spud is correct, Clemson better be looking out for Clemson, not the B1G and ACC academia, anti-football crowd.

Any alliance that includes words like "social justice" is doomed to failure.
Social justice is just a deceptive phrase culteral marxists use to divide Americans. The fact that the conference commissioners and university presidents signed off on it tells you all you need to know.
Communism is a joke, and communist sympathizers are enemies of the American people.

Reading through this thread it occurs to me most have less than a working knowledge of the situation. Its like an old man who only hears every 3rd word of a conversation but wants to comment anyway.
The grant of rights is with the ACC...not ESPN.
SEC does not want Clemson but he GOR would kill it anyway.
Clemson supports the traditional Student Athlete model therefore has cast its lot with ACC and the alliance. If the SEC had its way there would be a super league which would be semi pro.
Best to relax and let it play out. I look forward to adding some new/good matchups to the schedule and scrapping the SCSU/UConn/FAU/Charlotte/KentSt teams of the world which add nothing to the schedule

As a fan suggestion to alliances and realignments

What if Clemson had a rich business man or woman or lottery prize winner. The following persons offered to buy them out of the ACC and also give them 50 to 100 million, after the buyout to help them become an Independent like ND. If this were to happen they could play any team they choose to and get tv deals that they wanted to accept, would Clemson take that offer or would they stay in the ACC?
See all the comments on alliance and realignments got me thinking if this were to happen would they take the deal or not.
