As a baseball fan do you

Like the new rules that have been put into place this year to speed up the game? I wasn’t sure how I would like making changes to the game I grew up with but it really was an improvement, I think.
For the first time this season I sat down and watched the entire Red Sox game last night and was very pleased with the way the game progressed. It was easily shortened by thirty minutes because of the speed up changes. Hats off to MLB.

Can’t say the same for college sports!

I think they were much needed. I’m not sure if I totally understand when they start clocking the pitcher and hitter but it definitely helps with the overall flow of the game.

yes, for the most part...

there are some instances where it leaves you scratching your head. For example, getting a strike called on a player when he was getting a standing ovation from the crowd, thats a little ridiculous. Also, only being able to 'disengage' 2 times from the mound almost guarantees a steal from a runner on, but it involves the right strategy.

i've heard 3-4 people who previously didnt enjoy watching baseball because it was 'too slow' who have starting paying more attention.

so, my feelings are a little mixed but you cant deny that more people are watching, games have been cut down by 30 mins, etc.

Im enjoying the new pace of games, though I despise when a batter or pitcher get a violation.

I don't mind the pitch clock...

but I don't like punishing the batter if he is not in the box ready to hit.

I also don't like the rule that disallowed the shift.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
