Absolutely!! If Scott Rolen is a HOF'er then Dale is a no-brainer.
Dale was 2-time MVP and one of the most feared power hitters of the early to mid 80's. Very good player, good defender with a cannon of an arm.

4 years in a row he won the Silver Slugger and Golden Glove awards. 2 of those years he was NL MVP. And he essentially played during a time when offensive stats were way down compared to the 90s to today.
Definitely one of the best all-around players of his era and should not be kept out of the HOF for the last few years of his career bringing down his cumulative stats.

And he played on a team with nobody protecting him in the lineup (that was an old thing kids today wouldn’t understand) except for a couple decent years from Bob Horner so a lot of times he had to chase those curveballs low and away because if he didn’t knock a run in nobody else would.

Dale lives in Utah--he might still have some business ties in Atlanta. And, yes, he should already be in the HOF! Like many on here, I was a Braves fan when he was the only good player on the team.

Was in Atlanta, on business during that time. Several of us decided to take in a braves night game. We bought tickets at the window. They were down the right field line. They were playing LA and Fernando was pitching. The crowd was 10 to 15 thousand at best.
After watching for 4 0r 5 innings we decided to hit concessions and while we were there we heard a roar from the small crowd. We headed back and decided to get us a better seat. We actually wound up behind home plate about half way up. I decided to ask someone before we sat down what the roar was about. He said "Murphy hit one out" and we missed it.
